UNiDAYS: Student Deals review

Review Standarts
Our main goal is to provide full and useful app reviews. Our authors strictly follow the rules: minimum 15 hours of the real app usage experience or gameplay, test on main Android and iOS versions, test on phones and tablets.

It’s another application for you to access famous brand deals and for these brands to access you. Everyone wins, right? This time it’s made for students. It’s enough for you to be at any college, a freshman or an almost graduate, to enjoy the deals the service brings to you.

Interface — 5/5

Almost unnoticeable, it lets you concentrate on the contents. There’s a lot of bright pics hiding discounts and offers behind. You only need to tap any to see what it hides.

The app looks good, easy and clean both on phones and on tablets.

Content and Features — 5/5

The list of deals is really enormous. You can get your clothes or accessories much cheaper, have free Beats headphones when buying a Mac, have 20% discount for Samsung wearables or Reebok sportswear, and so on. Sounds quite attractive.

But to get access to it you’ll need to register and verify you’re a student. The app requires your email and real name, and also the institution you study at. You cannot just type in something random; the service has its own base of colleges, high schools, and universities, and it connects their bases to verify if that’s you and define the time your verification is legit until. When you’re verified (it may take a day or even more), you can start shopping.

The shopping part looks like usual. Select the section with the offer you like the most, place your order, and make your payment with any method you prefer. Brands like Apple, Samsung, McDonald's, Uber, ASOS, and other major services and vendors offer their discounts and deals within this app.

Yet we must warn you that you won’t find many really exclusive deals. It’s rather an aggregator of student offers than a standalone project. So the offers are not stable, and the main pros of this app is a possibility to see all available deals in one app. Yet there is some real exclusive content, like discounts on Apple Music subscription.

Usability — 5/5

The app offers a good logical catalog of different items and services you can purchase with a serious discount. Though (as we have said) the offers are mostly the same that you can find on the companies’ sites, it’s great to have them all aggregated in one app.

The verification is all you need to start. It may take up to a day or even more, but it’s not a catastrophe. Unlike many anonymous services, it really verifies you and provides real pluses for your verification.

The disappointment for the rest of the world is that the service only works in the USA. We tried to find Cambridge in its base, and it was Cambridge, Massachusetts. We also found listed high schools of Paris, Moscow, Warsaw, and many other cities, all of them American, and none of the other countries.

Compatibility — 5/5

The app is available for iOS and Android, but for US residents only. The market detects your country and just doesn’t display the app as available if you’re from elsewhere.

The system requirements are rather moderate. The Android version required is 5.0 and above, iOS version is 9.0 or later.

It’s easy to have all the offers for students in one app, and the app is UNiDAYS. There may be drawbacks in its contents or your failed expectations, but nothing has been promised, so enjoy what you have got (and there’s really much to enjoy and much to save).

  • Offers a lot of good deals and discounts
  • Easy to make out
  • Active throughout your studying.

  • Requires verification that can somehow go wrong
  • Only available in the USA
  • May disappoint your expectations.
